Abstract

Based on readings taken across the world in 2010, ocean temperatures were the warmest on record. While this change has brought some benefits such as increased lobster catches in eastern Maine, Maine fishermen and islanders concerned about other potential impacts including storms, migration changes, and the increased use of wind power have participated in meetings such as the Island Institute's Climate of Change roundtable discussions to address these issues.
