Abstract

Interviews with four islanders who attended the third annual Sustainable Island Living Conference held in Rockland in November 2010: Karen Willis Amspacher, director of the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center on Harkers Island, North Carolina; Dr. Irene Novaczek, director of the Institute of Island Studies at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada; Leesa Cobb, who is working on preserving working-waterfront access in Port Orford, Oregon; and Ted Bain, who is working on increasing the variety of local food available on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
