Abstract

Samsø Island, part of Denmark, produces more energy from renewable resources than it consumes. Five Maine islanders, students and faculty from College of the Atlantic, and representatives from the Island Institute's Community Energy Program traveled to Samsø to learn about how this is achieved and what aspects of this initiative could be done in Maine to achieve the same goal.
