Abstract

Island and shorefront real estate broker Cap De Rochemont of Rockland comments on selling islands and his 30 years in real estate. Island buyers tend to be preservationists, although rising prices, the scarcity of shorefront land, and the tendency for private islands to remain in a single family chain are making ownership increasingly difficult for the back-to-the-landers. Islands hold their value remarkably well. Details.
