Abstract

Labor commissioner Valerie Landry issued a ruling that clarifies certain points but does not determine how much certain workers of the Maine Turnpike widening project should be paid. The state AFL-CIO and Maine Building Trades Council plan to appeal her ruling, if unchanged, to Superior Court. The Bureau of Labor Services bases its rulings on canvasses of rates for specific construction tasks. Details.
