Abstract

According to the latest Manpower, Inc., survey, the coming quarter will be a good one for Portland. 33 percent of employers plan to add workers; none plan to cut back. Across Maine, 28percent of employers plan to increase employment, which is better than the national average. Related Fleet Financial Group data show that Maine has fully regained the jobs lost in the recession, unlike most of New England, New York, and New Jersey.
