Abstract

Maine & Company has taken on the responsibility of finding companies planning to move and convincing them to come to Maine. Although it works closely with the state Department of Economic Development, Maine & Company is completely funded by private companies. Executive Vice President Joe Wischerath has signed up almost 250 business executives as "ambassadors" to call on prospects and collect leads.
