Abstract

"Small Biz Voice" piece on the struggle with the lack of affordable housing for employees of Maine small businesses, noting that the National Low Income Housing Coalition says that only 48 percent of Maine's renters can afford the rent. In southern York County, you'd have to earn $17.88 an hour to afford the average rent of $930 for a two-bedroom apartment.
