Abstract

"Business Maine: Midcoast & Downeast" piece reporting that about 200 workers' jobs are in jeopardy in Belfast after Penobscot Frozen Foods Inc. was notified that it faces foreclosure on a debt of $1.5 million. Key Corporate Capital recently announced its intent to foreclose on the potato processing plant and sell the company's properties in Belfast and Washburn at auction. But Rick Starrett, Penobscot's president, said he is in negotiations with a loan broker to put together a financing package that could stop the foreclosure.
