Abstract

Building & real estate" supplement piece on the interest of Newton, Massachusetts-based Packard Development's recently announced proposals to develop five new shopping centers in Maine totally more than 1.2-million-square-foot. The centers include: The Shops at Biddeford Crossing, a 460,000 square-foot develompent housing 21 stores , anchored by Target and Lowe's; Pine Tree Shopping Center, Portland, a 170,000-square-foot development, with no tenants yet identified; Morrill's Corner, Portland, a 207,000-square-foot development, anchored by a Super Stop & Shop grocery store; Augusta Crossing, Augusta, a 450,000-square-foot proposed development near the intersection of Western Avenue and I-95, anchored by Target and Lowe's; and and plans to build or redevelop shopping center in Bangor, details of which have not been specified.
