Abstract

"Building & real estate" supplement piece about attempts to require the licensing of home contractors. Rep. Scott Cowger, D-Hallowell, has introducred a legislative bill, LD 1551, called the "Maine Home Contractor Licensing Act," which would require the licensing of homebuildiers and remodelers. Carl Chretian, a Saco contractor and an active member of the Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Maine, has been helping the association lobby the Maine Legilsture in favor of the bill.
