Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Dr. Maroulla Gleaton, 46, an ophthalmologist who is the first female president of the Maine Medical Association (MMA). As a member of Gov. John Baldacci's Health Action Team, she has input on the formation of the Dirigo Health Plan, about which she is conservatively optimistic. She plans to emphasize the ethnic and gender diversity of the MMA during her tenure.
