Abstract

"Capitolism" piece on the special legistative session convened to discuss Governor Angus King's proposed alternative to the clear-cutting referendum on this year's ballot. Legislators are trying to resist the temptation to review 16 or 17 other items in special session as well. Senate President Jeffrey Butland and House Speaker Dan Gwadosky are pleased that business will be limited. Related letter to the editor from John A. Dow.
