Abstract

"Next List" piece featuring ten people who are shaping the future of Maine's economy, with a profile of Diane Doyle, 43, president of Saco-based Doyle Enterprises, who is passionate about conceiving ambitious developments that also help preserve the natural features and open spaces that are disappearing under southern Maine's still unchecked sprawl. Her projects include Ferry Landing in Saco, which features cluster housing. Her latest project is Graves Hill in Portland, two condominium towers on an unusually small footprint that leaves more than seven acres of woods. Owners of large parcels are now calling her to help them create their own combination development/conservation projects.
