Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the difficulties the next Legislature will face simultaneously balancing the budget and providing tax relief. Small businesses are concerned that Gov. John Baldacci's proposal might negatively affect them. The Maine State Chamber of Commerce will bring its proposal to referendum if the Legislature fails to pass tax reform.
