Abstract

"Business Maine" piece on new signs popping up around Portland, including the "Time and Temperature Building" sign at 477 Congress St., installed by owner Jeffrey Cohen to affirm the popular name for the building. Many Portland landlords take their cues from a city ordinance that allows one commercial sign per elevation, or external face, of a building. The Preti Flaherty sign at One City Center can be seen from I-295 and is part of the firm's broader marketing plan.
