Abstract

Bill MacDonald's newly-launched electronic marketplace, Biotech Source, is a business-to-business portal for potential buyers of biotech products. The service charges sellers for each product listing and charges no fee to buyers. McDonald, a graduate of the University of Maine, previously started Reagents International, a reseller of bulk biotech materials. He worked with Ron Stone and a team of consultants and Web designers to shift Reagents away from its role as middleman and into the B2B online marketplace.
