"Focus on Northern Maine" piece with featuring an interview in question-and-answ
"Focus on Northern Maine" piece with featuring an interview in question-and-answer format with Rep. Henry Joy (R-Crystal), who advocates creating a new state in northern Maine. In January, Joy sponsored a bill that would create a task force to study the feasibility of dividing Maine into two separate states. Joy sees the split as a way to undo state regulations that he blames for the decline of traditional industries such as paper and forestry. Joy discusses the reasons for his proposal, and what the new, rural state would look like.
