Abstract

"MBA '05" piece profiling and querying six soon-to-be MBAs on the value of their degree, including Harry Fraser, 53, a student at the University of Southern Maine School of Business in Portland and CEO of Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers in Auburn. He believes that because things change so quickly, lifelong learning is essential, and modern managers must rely on the creativity of their employees rather than just telling them what to do. He has had four or five projects done at Thos. Moser through the MBA program, projects that would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars instead of his tuition and time.
