Abstract

The city of Portland is hoping for a $90,000 Superfund grant to conduct a Brownfields Economic Redevelopment Initiative on industrial property around Marginal Way. The ugly land adjacent to Portland's three most densely populated and poorest neighborhoods could be cleaned under Maine's Voluntary Clean-Up Program as well.
