Abstract

The city of Portland, University of Southern Maine, and Sail Maine are working together to create a community boathouse on Casco Bay. Sail Maine founder and sole staff member Sherry Fowler, who teaches low-income youngsters to sail, says that USM sailing teams could use the boathouse during the school year, saving the summer for community use.
