Abstract

Interviews and photographs of people connected with the 40th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival, including: Director Judi Clancy, who gives an overview of the event; carnival ride operator Lewis Sawyer; attorney David Van Slyke, who oversees at least 80 "frydogs" who work at the Yarmouth Ski Club booth; Managing Director Carolyn Schuster of Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, which derives its operating income from the festival; painter Margette Leanna, who says Yarmouth people are "very good art buyers;" and Barbara and John Saint Amour of Yarmouth, who attend the festival each year with their two sons, Barrett and Will.
