Abstract

"Focus on Energy" piece on Linda Goldfarb, former vice president of Central Maine Power and president of Portland-based consulting firm L.K. Goldfarb Associates, which administers the Efficiency Maine program. This spring, the U.S. Dept. of Energy named her company as one of the 24 "premier partners" for the D.O.E.'s Rebuild America program. Efficiency Maine, a "public benefit program," is funded by fees paid by electricity delivery companies and provides incentives to business and residential customers to invest in energy efficient lighting and equipment. Since its inception in 2003, Efficiency Maine has helped save 17 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. With details on Goldfarb's career promoting energy efficiency in Maine and Wisconsin.
