Abstract

Article on Wolfe's Neck Farm Natural Meats, a nonprofit organization started by Erick Jensen in 2001 to help Maine farmers get higher prices for their cattle. In June, Pineland Farms Natural Meats was sold to a new for-profit entity, New Gloucester-based Pineland Farms Natural Meats. With financial backing from the Libra Foundation, the company is looking to internal growth to improve profit margins.
