Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a Department of Labor study, "Survivors at Work: How Perpetrators Impact Employment," that finds 98 percent of domestic violence victims have trouble at work. Of the 120 women interviewed, 87 percent said they received between 50 and 100 harassing phone calls a week at the workplace. Gov. John Baldacci said the state has a domestic violence policy in place that businesses can review and adapt to their companies.
