Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Matt Jacobson, 45, who gave up a high-paying job in Chicago to succeed Joe Wischerath as the new president and CEO of Maine & Co., a Portland-based nonprofit focused on attracting new businesses to the state. He ran the St. Lawrence and Atlantic railroad in Auburn before moving to Chicago in 2000. He hopes to make the organization more proactive by targeting specific companies.
