Abstract

"Focus on Greater Portland Region" piece by Peter Carlisle, Portland-based director of Olympics and action sports for Octagon, an international sports and entertainment marketing firm. Carlisle is a graduate of Bates College and of the law school at the University of Maine. As a sports agent he specialized in the nascent sport of snowboarding, eventually signing Olympic medalist Ross Powers. Carlisle and Octagon represent 10 of the 16 U.S. Olympian snowboarders going for the gold in Torino, Italy.
