Abstract

"Business Maine: Southern" piece on Oxford Aviation, an 18-year-old airplane refurbishing company that recently announced plans to build a $10 million facility at Sanford Regional Airport. The company chose Sanford's airport because its long runway will allow the company to accommodate larger aircraft. Sanford offered the company a $109,000 property tax cut and $4.8 million in public investment for the facility. The proposed 98,000-square-foot hangar will create 200 jobs.
