Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Chandler Woodcock, Republican candidate for governor. The retired teacher and lay minister from Farmington says the biggest challenge facing Maine's next governor is to change the perception that Maine is a bad place for business to invest. Woodcock discusses his support for the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) and his plan to expand the Pine Tree Zone program statewide. To address Maine's health insurance program, Woodcock proposes allowing people to purchase insurance from other states to make it a competitive market.
