Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a bill in Congress to re-write the 1996 Telecommunications Act that has Maine lawmakers concerned about its effects on Maine. Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe is pushing for so-called net neutrality legislation, which would maintain even pricing across the board for Internet users instead of the bill's tiered pricing system that would charge more for higher-speed access.
