Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on Sen. Barry Hobbs, D-Saco, who wants to tighten amusement ride inspections. After rides at June's LaKermesse Festival in Biddeford were given an inspection seal by the State Fire Marshal's office, the town of Biddeford found serious electrical violations. Hobbs thinks inspection fees should be increased to cover the high costs of inspection.
