Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on an emergency supplemental budget submitted by Gov. John Baldacci that includes $3 million to the University of Maine System to help pay for an upgrade of the fiber optics network that ties its two largest campuses and affiliated research centers to the Internet. The upgrade will make the university system more competitive with other research facilities.
