Abstract

"Business Maine: Southern" piece on Jim Thomas, town manager of Old Orchard Beach, noting that two employees of Pier Leasing Co., which owns The Pier, filed a claim alleging Thomas slandered their reputation and that of the company's female employees. James Albert and Thomas Redmond claimed Thomas swore at a security guard, made a derogatory comment to Redmond and referred to The Pier's female employees as "whores and prostitutes." Thomas denied the allegations.
