Abstract

Portland Glass sold its automobile glass replacement business to Harmon AutoGlass of Minneapolis, which will take ownership of the Portland Glass name. Portland Glass president Richard Bakke says he initiated the sale because his company had been so successful. Portland Glass will retain its Vinyl Window and ProGlass Constuction divisions, and Bakke projects that the future of the window industry will be vinyl frames.
