Abstract

"Business Maine" piece on Healthy Habits Culinary Studio in Sanford, which offers healthy cooking classes for kids and adults. Owner Lise Nichols gathered $35,000 in startup funding for the venture. Tom's of Maine in Kennebunk hired Nichols in January to teach 30 staffers about cooking quick, low-fat dinners as part of its employee wellness program. Nichols brought her own portable burners for a "lunch n' learn" workshop this summer at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick.
