Abstract

Paul Meserve of Fryeburg has invented a new snack, tub cheese, a cross between a cheese spread and a dip. Meserve's Squire Mountain Tub Cheese Company sells it in 230 stores in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Right now Meserve sells by putting a thousand miles a week on his pickup truck, but he hopes to create a network of self-contained distribution depots scattered through northern New England.
