Abstract

"Focus on Building & Real Estate" piece on Broughton Builders of Ellsworth, lead contractor in building a $500,000 home for the Ray-Smith family of Milbridge in one week, for ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Mike Wight, co-owner of Broughton Builders, said the volunteer effort by more than 100 Maine businesses was all-consuming and challenged by rain during the construction week. Besides businesses and non-profits, the Penobscot Job Corps, which aids disadvantaged youth, helped in the effort.
