Abstract

"Business Maine: Northern" piece reporting that the Nova Scotia-based parent company of Bangor Hydro-Electric Co., recently said it is considering the construction of a $2 billion transmission line to deliver electricity from northern Maine and Canada to southern New England. Emera Inc., the owner of Bangor Hydro, is studying the feasibility of the Northeast Energy Link transmission line, which could deliver about 660 megawatts of electricity during the first part of the multiphase project.
