Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the recent news that state revenues are above estimates by $45 million with two months to go in the budget year. Many lawmakers have been contacted by constituents asking if cuts made earlier this year will be reversed. Sen. Karl Turner (R-Cumberland) and others predict that rising energy prices will continue to impact the state budget, and that whatever extra we have this year will be needed in the next year of the biennial budget.
