Abstract

"New Ventures" piece on Saad Albeshir, owner of the Stareast Cafe in Portland. Besides doing the design and much of the interior work on the gutted building he bought on Forest Ave., Albeshir owns real estate and manages apartment buildings in Portland. He likes the way his business is growing slowly through customers who return for his authentic Arabic food.
