"By the Numbers" piece on Maine's largest acute care hospitals, ranked by number of licensed acute care beds as of October 2008. The five largest, in order, of the ten listed are: Maine Medical Center in Portland, Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
