Abstract

"Focus on Law" piece with a recapitulation of the embezzlement case of John Duncan, a former estate attorney at the venerable Portland law firm, Verrill Dana LLP, with a look at three lawyers who left the firm in the scandal's wake. Tim O'Brien, Gail Kingsley, and Gene Libby started Libby, O'Brien, Kingsley LLC in Kennebunk, partly because of their misgivings about Verrill Dana's initial reluctance to investigate the allegations.
