Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Roger Milliken Jr., CEO of Cumberland-based Baskahegan Co., which owns 100,000 acres of timberland in Washington County. He is also the newly elected chairman of Arlington, Va.-based The Nature Conservancy and a practicing Buddhist. Milliken took over his family's business in 1983, and later facilitated negotiations that resulted in the 1989 passage of Maine's Forest Practices Act.
