Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Bruce Wagner, new CEO of Portland's Barber Foods, the first non-family member to lead the company in its 54-year history. Barber Foods and the industry at large is facing contraction, and Wagner is working to increase efficiencies and brand recognition. Wagner left a career at Maryland-based W.R. Grace to become interim COO in November 2007, the month that company founder Gus Barber died.
