"By the Numbers" piece on Maine's highest-paid public executives, ranked by total annual compensation in 2008. The top five of the 10 listed are, in descending order: Jonathan Ayers, president and CEO of Idexx Laboratories Inc. in Westbrook; Mark Thompson, president and CEO of Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. in South Portland; William Wallen, senior VP and chief scientific officer at Idexx; Michael Dubyak, president and CEO of Wright Express in Portland; and Merilee Raines, corporate VP/CFO at Idexx.
