Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on how the legislature's Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs will scrutinize every facet of state government to make up an expected funding shortfall of $100 million or more in the biennial budget. Human services and education, which combined, make up about 80 percent of the budget, are not off the table.
