Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on an issue before the state Broadband Strategy Council concerning which proposals, if any, to recommend for federal stimulus funds. FairPoint is proposing to build on its existing infrastructure to bring broadband access to 90 percent of Maine by 2013, and is charging the University of Maine System with unfairly competing with them by putting forth their own private-public partnership proposal.
