"Focus on Health Care" piece on Maine's largest acute care hospitals, ranked by number of licensed acute care beds as of September 2009. The top five of the ten listed are, in descending order: Maine Medical Center in Portland, Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
