Abstract

Former Portland real estate phenomenon Michael Liberty is now assembling investor groups to rescue to Hathaway Shirt Company, Biddeford Textiles, and the former Pinceland Center for the Developmentally Disabled. Although the goal at Hathaway is to preserve a Maine institution, Liberty believes the participation of profit-making investors will make this rescue succeed where others have failed. His most passionate salesmanship is reserved for the 300-acre Pineland complex. He will propose a plan on May 22. Details.
