Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a revenue-raising proposal to increase fees on natural gas shipped through Maine pipelines. Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline Co. believes the fee is excessive. The revenue would pay to train first responders in the case of a natural gas leak and to help fund the Department of Environmental Protection's hazardous materials response and clean-up units.
